Upwelling Founder, Joncarlo Mark, will participate in this year’s California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) Statewide Convention as a “shark” during the conference’s “Hispanic Shark Tank” event. Joining Mark on the panel will be Jesus Arguelles, Founder of Arguelles Capital Advisory, and Carmen Palafox, Investment Partner at MiLA.vc. The event will be emceed by Eric Gonzalez, SVP for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. It will take place on Thursday, August 23rd at 3:30 PM in the California Grand Ballroom.

“It is an honor to sit on this distinguished panel and hear from Latino entrepreneurs seeking capital to grow their business,” said Mark. “I am excited to hear from the entrepreneurs participating in the shark tank event, but also to meet all the innovative business leaders that will be present throughout the convention.”

This year’s convention, themed “California’s Voice,” marks the CHCC’s 40th anniversary. The convention will transpire over the span of three days, August 22nd – August 24th at the L.A. Hotel Downtown and will host over 3,000 entrepreneurs, small business advocates, corporate representative, community leaders, and government officials.
